Santa will be available to chat with children, take their holiday wish lists, take pictures, and show off the bigger and better North Pole Express model train.  Join us at the United Presbyterian Church from 8-10 am for Breakfast with Santa, brought to you by  Community 1st Credit Union . The Washington Lion’s Club will be preparing a delicious pancake breakfast and Santa will be onsite to visit with children. The Lion’s will be available to take Keepsake Photo’s of your child with Santa, but you are welcome to take your own.   At 9 am Santa will read some classic Christmas stories and craft stations and Letters to Santa will be available from 8-10.   Tickets are available at the door and are $Tickets $6 adults / $3 children 3 and over. The United Presbyterian Church is located at 209 E. Main Street

Downtown Lighting Ceremony & Lighted Parade
NEW TIME Join Main Street Washington at the Bandstand at 6 pm for the Annual Lighting Ceremony where we will kick off the holidays with some live holiday songs, our Lights of Love Memory Trees Memorial, and a special guest will light the Square. Following the ceremony at 6:30 pm, the 24th Annual Lighted Holiday Parade kicks off and circles downtown.

Hayrack rides will circle the park starting on the North-side of the Square starting at 6 pm. Federation Bank will also be set up outside on the corner of Main & Iowa giving away complementary Hot Cocoa and Cookies to kick off the holidays!

Holiday SNOW is brought to you by the Live Animal Christmas Play

“A Christmas Carol:” Live Radio Play
Join the Washington Community Theater, KCII, & the Washington Public Library for this unique Holiday tradition. Players will be acting out a 1-hour radio play in the transformed from windows of the Library. The vintage radio studio will feature live actors portraying your favorite characters, live sound effect creation, and a studio audience. Stand out on Washington St. and watch them, or stay cozy at home and listed on KCII Radio AM 1380, FM 106.1, or 102.5 at 5 pm on November 24th.

Santa's House
Join Santa for his 1st day in his house at 110 W. Main Street on Saturday from 1-4 pm or visit him following the parade. Check out the full schedule for the Season below. Santa’s House is presented by Washington State Bank.

Kicking off the summer with Disney's the Princess & the Frog. "Hardworking and ambitious, Tiana (Anika Noni Rose) dreams of one day opening the finest restaurant in New Orleans. Her dream takes a slight detour when she meets Prince Naveen (Bruno Campos), who has been turned into an amphibian by evil Dr. Facilier. Mistaking her for a princess and hoping to break the spell, Naveen plants a kiss on poor Tiana -- thereby turning her into a frog as well. The pair hop along on an adventure through the bayous to seek the help of a powerful voodoo priestess."

Holiday Blitz

 

Breakfast with Santa 8-10 am
United Presbyterian Church

Join us to meet and greet with Santa on Saturday November 25th from 8-10:00am. Families will enjoy a delicious breakfast prepared by the Washington Lion's Club and have an opportunity to visit with Santa, get those Christmas lists prepared, do a series of crafts, and listen to some fun holiday stories read by St. Nick himself. Tickets are available at the door and are $6 for adults, $3 for children 3+, 3 and under are free. Main Street Washington Event

 

Jingle Bell Run 8-10 am

Join us at the Y’s 24/7 fitness center for a 5k walk/run that benefits HACAP & the Downtown Light Fund! Pre-register at the 24/7 YMCA (formerly Bodywrx) by 11/23 to reserve your tshirt! Please bring a canned good item to the race. Registration begins at 8 am and the race starts at 9 am. $25 & canned good to register. Proceeds will be donated to the Downtown Lighting Fund & canned goods given to HACAP.

Join Main Street Washington for an evening of fun and festivities as we kick off the holidays. Lights of Love Memory Trees will be illuminated and their recipients honored as we light the downtown A special guest will be joining us to Light the Square and kick off the parade.
